Class Information

Arriving at school:

  1. Arrive between 8:40am -9:00am, walk up the drive with your parent/carer up to the wooden gate labelled ‘Gate 1’ (top of the drive, past the main reception). There will be an adult on the gate to greet you and show you the way to your classroom. Unfortunately, grown-ups are not allowed to come into the classroom with you.

  2. Hang your coat and P.E bag on your labelled peg and put your lunch bag on the blue trolley outside your classroom. Your class teacher will tell you where to put your book bag and water bottle.

  3. WASH YOUR HANDS when you enter the classroom!

Things you will need:

 * book bag

      * waterbottle (NAMED)

     * packed lunch (if not having a school one)

    * healthy snack (no chocolate/crisps)

   * P.E bag

Home time Arrangements:

Please collect your child from Gate 1 (same as the morning) from 3:10pm up until 3:20pm. To assist staff, please line up on the side labelled for your child’s class (Rowan or Willow). Please tell the adult at the gate your child’s name.

At all times we are seeking to reduce the number of people on site to reduce adult to adult contact. Therefore, we ask that one parent/carer only accompanies pupils at drop-off and collection times and access to the school building will be by appointment only. Please maintain social distancing at all times.

For further information on 'bubbles' and other guidance, please refer to the school Covid19 section on the school website.

There are two classes in Year 1.

Rowan Class is taught by Mrs Staveley on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and by Mrs Hindle on a Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday.

Willow Class is taught by Miss Pettinger all week.

The children are supported by our fantastic teaching assistants, Mrs Walker and Mrs Knight

We share an outdoor classroom with Year 2 and visit the 'Forest School' once a week. These areas are run by the very dedicated Miss Fail and Mrs Brining, who are outside in all weathers!

***Please be aware this information booklet is what Year 1 would usually look like. We are currently working on plans to adjust transition in line with Government guidance, taking into consideration the children’s needs after a long period away from school. We will do our utmost to ensure a smooth transition for the children. We will keep you informed. Thank you for your patience. ***
