PE

In year 3, PE is taught on Monday in Elm class and Wednesday in Hazel class.

Please make sure that your child has their PE kit on this day.

Homework

Homework is set each Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday.

Homework tasks are stuck into children’s homework books, but they can also be found in the Homework Box below.

Reading

We are a reading school and actively encourage reading throughout the week. As well as the reading pupils enjoy at school, we would also like children to read to an adult or older sibling at home at least three times per week.

Spellings

Spelling lists can be found each week in the children’s homework books as well as in the Spellings Box below. Children should learn all ten spellings and explore the spelling pattern set as part of the homework. Spelling tests will take place every Friday and the children will be tested on the ten spellings from their list.

Times tables

The children have a multiplication test each Friday. The times table they will be tested on is written on the homework sheet and the children have TTRockstars logins and passwords if they want to use this to help them practise. ‘Hit the Button’ is another great website where children can practise their times tables.
